Forest of the Heart was my second time painting human flesh tones, and I feel I achieved a higher degree of realism and translucency on this piece.

She represents hope for a greener world and the idea that all of us carry the seed of that hope within us. In a world focused on external stimuli, consumption, and the destruction of nature, one of our best weapons to combat such culture is through reconnecting to nature on a personal level and cultivating inner stillness. She represents honoring one’s truth in spite of external pressure, embracing connection to the wild places, and keeping the seed of hope alive.
