Scarabs and other beetles are deeply inspiring to me. I find it profoundly magical that these creatures are so grounded in the Earth, especially in their larval stage, and then that they take to the air in their adult form. There is a tremendous variety of beetles in the world, many of which offer vivid colors or unique ornamentation.

Many cultures honor the beetle as a powerful totem, a being of earth and sky which is known for its industriousness and strength.
